"when i came to, i had an epiphery."
all-nighters are actually fun when you want to do the work!
GEE WHIZ who knew?
a breather.
i need a little break from my songs. they’re starting to run together and i am utterly sick of hearing my stupid voice.
i believe that going to watch “The Dark Knight” is just what the doctor ordered.
::fists pumped:: STOKED!
true dedication.
you know how i know that i’m truly dedicated to my music? i’m skipping what will undoubtedly be the funnest show ever in order to finish up mixing. i already missed them play here last year, and i have to miss them again. THAT IS TRUE DEDICATION, PEOPLE.
nevermind that i’m seeing them tomorrow night at the music hall of williamsburg; i was 1000% psyched to see them play at a bowling alley.
i mean, who wouldn’t be.
Familiar Hymns - Troupe Song
[i shouldn’t post this because it’ll defeat the element of surprise, but i’m too excited!!!]
a good day.
three songs DONE (and i mean ready-to-be-mastered done), thanks to a crazy mixing session yesterday with this genius. still in mild panic mode, but feeling better now that a third of the album is master-ready.
more mixing madness in a few days.
gimme an M! gimme an O! gimme a T! gimme an I - oh, screw this.
you know what is the best motivational tool? a deadline. seriously, shit would never get done otherwise.
just checked my calendar, and it looks like mine is in two weeks, if i want my CD to be done before i head to school. WHAATT??!?!!?!?
let's be a little more productive tomorrow, yes?
things to do:
- go to the DMV and re-take my driver’s license photo
- book my flight to St. Louis
- clean up the drum tracks for “Do You Recall”
- research what kind of Mac i need to get for school
- organize clothes to drop off at Buffalo Exchange
- put in an hour of Wii Fit (seriously this game rules)
things not to do:
- watch the entire third season of Arrested Development while eating leftover BBQ from July 4th
sorry, but any animal article with “Monster” in its title has a pretty decent chance of being awesome.
shifting priorities.
i’m pretty pumped that it’s my last week of work, after which i’ll be doing a whole lot of nothing before being so busy i won’t know what hit me heading off to grad school. i’m particularly excited because i’ll soon have an extra 11 hours a day to do whatever i want to do, a big chunk of which will be music-making. also, sleeping.
wow. i didn’t realize just how much of my time is spent at work (commute, lunch break included). is that sort of depressing?
